METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING IP ADDRESS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for allocating an IP address in a wireless communication network are provided to easily and rapidly allocate an IP address between terminals. CONSTITUTION: A controller controls a Wi-Fi module to transmit a frame for discovery and a frame for negotiation. The frame for discovery is a frame of discovering peer to peer (P2P) terminals and connecting with the at least one discovered P2P terminal by a wireless terminal. The frame for negotiation is a frame of negotiating and determining with the P2P terminals which P2P terminals become a group owner performing a function of an access point (AP) and a group client performing a function of a station in a P2P group. The controller controls the Wi-Fi module to transmit an IP address to be allocated to the group client to the connected P2P terminal during the negotiation.
