<p>PURPOSE: An application switching device and a method thereof are provided to switch an application being executed at background to foreground by sensing an application switching request signal inputted in a camera technique, a sensor technique, a touch technique or a voice technique. CONSTITUTION: An inputting part (350) receives an application switching request signal from an application being executed at a foreground. A determining part (340) determines whether the request signal is inputted in the technique among a sensor technique, a touch technique or a voice technique. A controlling part (330) determines an application to be executed at the foreground among applications being executed at a background based on the inputting technique of the request signal determined at the determining part and the switching request of the application. An outputting part (320) outputs the process of the application, which is being executed at the foreground, switched into an application determined by the controlling part at the screen of a terminal.
