PURPOSE: A method and a system of executing an application service using wireless local area network (WLAN) detection are provided to check whether a wireless communication terminal enters a service zone through WLAN detection and automatically execute an application service that a user wants to use. CONSTITUTION: A wireless network management unit (13) checks whether a detected service set identifier (SSID) in a WLAN is a registered SSID in advance. If the detected SSID of the WLAN is a registered SSID and added in a network list, an application service execution determining unit (14) determines a wireless communication terminal enters a corresponding service zone. If the detected SSID of the WLAN is deleted from the network list, the application service execution determining unit determines the wireless communication terminal leaves the corresponding service zone. The application service execution determining unit requests an application service providing server to execute an application service according to a result of the determination.
