HANDOVER PROCESSING SYSTEM AND GATEWAY ROUTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a handover which allows a user terminal to cross the boundary between different kinds of NWs or between ISPs by using a LISP.SOLUTION: A handover processing system comprises a gateway router provided with a LISP based data transfer function and a map server which stores therein mapping information consisting of terminal IDs and site information correlated to each other. The gateway router includes the means for: acquiring the terminal ID of a user terminal when the user terminal has connected to a network having the gateway router connected thereto, making an inquiry by transmitting the terminal ID to the map server to receive an IP address from the map sever, and notifying the user terminal of the IP address; receiving updated mapping information from the map server when the mapping information has been updated by the map server; and performing a data transfer on the basis of site information on transfer destinations in the mapping information.
