PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-propelled electronic apparatus for much more accurately avoiding collision with an obstacle when there exists a person around than when there does not exist any person.SOLUTION: The self-propelled electronic apparatus includes: a casing for performing an operation under self-propelled motion; an obstacle sensor for detecting a distance between the casing and an obstacle; a person sensing part for sensing the existence of a person around; and a control part for controlling the obstacle sensor and the person sensing part, and for, when the distance between the casing and the obstacle existing on a self-traveling route detected by the obstacle sensor becomes equal to or less than a threshold, controlling traveling to avoid the obstacle. When the person sensing part senses the existence of the person, the control part switches traveling control to a safety traveling mode in which the threshold is set to be larger than that in a normal traveling mode in response to this. |
