PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a backlight light source and others capable of reducing fear that a DC/DC converter and its surroundings become high temperature.SOLUTION: A lighting timing determination unit 21 can switch to a DC/DC heat generation reducing mode, in which reference positions, which are timings for at least either lighting or lighting-out of all the LEDs included in two rows, match each other in at least the two rows of a matrix of the LEDs, and the reference positions do not match between all the rows.
