Disposable injection syringe has a casing which contains a spring unit (50) and a piston and cylinder unit (100) which is filled with active material. The spring unit comprises a coil spring (77) fitted around the piston rod which is held in the compressed state by a band (78) which passes over the top of the rod. The band is cut before the syringe is used by a blade mounted at its top. |
