摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an arc generation point in an early stage of arc start does not have a molten pool, so that current density in a lower part of droplets in a wire tip becomes high and force which pushes the droplets up works, and the force often becomes larger than electromagnetic pinch force, thus large droplets are not moved in a direction of a base material, but are pushed up in a direction different from the direction of the material; and when leaving from the wire tip, the droplets may be dispersed as sputters.SOLUTION: In an arc welding control method which performs welding by generating an arc between welding wire of a consumable electrode and an object to be welded, after instruction of start of the welding, in a short circuit period from short circuit generation time to arc generation time, wire feeding speed is defined as retreat feeding, and in an arc period from the arc generation time to the next short circuit generation time, the welding is performed such that the wire feeding speed is defined as forward feeding. After that, the wire feeding speed is changed to constant speed and the welding is performed.
