PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily determine a replacement time of each replacement part involved a job executed by the user by notifying the user of a timing of arrival of a recommended replacement time of each replacement part.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises an image forming unit which performs image forming in response to execution of a job and a control unit which manages the job and controls the image forming unit. The control unit manages replacement parts of the image forming apparatus, identifies replacement parts involved in the job, predicts a wear-out amount of the replacement parts over the course of the execution of the job, determines whether a recommended replacement time of any of the replacement parts is to arrive when the job is completed on the basis of the prediction, and if a recommended replacement time is to arrive, notifies a user of the timing when the recommended replacement time arrives, thereby making clear at which timing a recommended replacement time of a replacement part is to arrive and making determination of time of part replacement easy. |
