PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of suitably displaying video of a part behind a vehicle with a simple device configuration.SOLUTION: A safety confirmation device for a vehicle includes a starting history data storage section 4 which stores starting history data in which the past parking position of a vehicle and starting information about the number of times of past forward starting of the vehicle and the number of times of past backward starting of the vehicle from the parking position are associated with each other. Then the safety confirmation device for vehicle includes a control section 8 which acquires the number of times of forward starting and the number of times of backward starting from the starting history data as regards a parking position corresponding to a position detected by a position detection section 2 when a starting preparing operation detection section 1 detects a starting preparing operation, and displays the video of the part behind the vehicle imaged by a camera 5 on a display 7 when the number of times of backward starting is larger than the number of times of forward starting. |
