PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustor and a method for supplying fuel to a combustor.SOLUTION: A combustor includes an end cap having upstream and downstream surfaces, and a cap shield (32, 132) surrounding the upstream and downstream surfaces. First and second sets of premixer tubes extend from the upstream surface through the downstream surface. A first fuel conduit (44, 144) supplies fuel to the first set of premixer tubes. A casing (12, 112) circumferentially surrounds the cap shield (32, 132) to define an annular passage (26, 126). A second fuel conduit (46, 146) supplies the fuel through the annular passage (26, 126) to the second set of premixer tubes. A method of supplying the fuel to the combustor includes: flowing of working fluid to the first set of premixer tubes and the second set of premixer tubes; flowing of first fuel to the first set of premixer tubes; and flowing of second fuel through the annular passage (26, 126) surrounding the end cap to the second set of premixer tubes. |
