PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that durability is lowered due to a process such as a measurement of a resistance value, a complicated energizing control or the like of a heating resistor element in driving of a thermal head, or increase of a trimming amount.SOLUTION: A thermal head system is disclosed that is adapted to drive a thermal head in which a plurality of heating resistor elements are arranged in a line and the heating resistor elements are to be heated. The thermal head system includes a heating time controlling section which classifies the heating resistor elements into M groups (M is an integer of ≥2) in an extension direction of a line, stores respective averaged resistance values at a time when a plurality of heating resister elements in a unit group and adjacent to the unit group are respectively heated, and respectively controls the plurality of heating resister elements in the unit group and adjacent to the unit group on the basis of correction data of respective heating time intervals of the plurality of heating resister elements in the unit group and adjacent to the unit group, which are calculated out based on the averaged resistance values. |
