PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more certainly prevent deterioration of a seal member caused by heat.SOLUTION: A glow plug 1 includes: a cylindrical housing 2 having a shaft hole 7 extending in a direction of an axis CL1, and provided with a male screw 8 to be screwed into a female screw FS provided in a mounting hole HO of an internal combustion engine EN; a ceramic heater 4 inserted into the shaft hole 7 with at least own tip end part projected from a tip end of the housing 2; and an intermediate shaft 3 formed into a rod-like shape extending in the direction of the axis CL1, inserted into the shaft hole 7, and forming a current-carrying path to the ceramic heater 4. Within a formation range of the male screw 8 along the axis CL1, an annular seal member 31 formed of insulating material is arranged between an inner periphery of the housing 2 and an outer periphery of the intermediate shaft 3. |
