PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent conveyance failure to be caused when a perforation portion of a recording medium collides with a paper feed roller.SOLUTION: A printer 1 performs printing onto a continuous paper 2 conveyed by conveyance force of a paper feed roller 8, while conveying the continuous paper 2 by causing a tractor 4 to follow the continuous paper 2. Printing control means 36 calculates a conveyance position of a perforation 2b of the continuous paper 2 on the basis of the detection output of a paper-fold detector 26. The continuous paper 2 is conveyed at a reference conveyance speed VO until the perforation 2b reaches a speed changing position D1 set immediately before the paper feed roller 8, and when the perforation 2b reaches the speed changing position D1, the conveyance speed is reduced. The printing control means 36 is configured to convey the continuous paper 2 at a reduced speed V during the perforation 2b passing by a low-speed conveyance section D as a section from the speed changing position D1 located on the upstream of the paper feed roller 8 to the speed recovery position D2 located on the downstream of the paper feed roller 8, and when the perforation 2b reaches the speed recovery position D2, the conveyance speed is returned to the reference conveyance speed VO. |
