PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment apparatus of hot water which recovers silica continuously and efficiently from the hot water including silica and further which recovers precious metals in the post-step, and to provide a treatment method of the hot water.SOLUTION: The treatment apparatus of hot water is provided with a plurality of agitation reaction vessels which are capable of operating a reaction step of depositing silica in the hot water on the surface of catalyst particles by adding a polymerization agent to the hot water and a washing step of removing the silica deposited on the surface of the catalyst particles, a sedimentation tank to sediment the silica in the hot water, that is installed at the downstream side of the agitation reaction vessels, a detector to measure the residual silica concentration in the hot water that has been treated by the sedimentation tank, a controller which switches one of the agitation reaction vessels that has carried out the reaction step to the washing step and switches the other agitation vessel that has carried out the washing step to the reaction step, when the residual silica concentration in the hot water detected by the detector exceeds the threshold value. |
