PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring rolling method by which the occurrence of an inner gap, i.e. a void in a product obtained by ring rolling can be suppressed.SOLUTION: There is provided a rolling method comprising ring rolling in which, for an inner void occurring in a ring-shaped product 9 in a hot ring rolling, the occurrence of inner void in the ring-shaped product 9 obtained by hot ring rolling is suppressed by: dividing a main roll 2 and a mandrel 3 of a ring rolling apparatus by a plurality of arbitrary division lines 4 thereby reducing a difference in circumferential speed generated between the main roll 2, the mandrel 3 and material 5 to be worked; or making the difference in circumferential speed generated in the material 5 to be worked harmless by applying a lubricant to the main roll 2 and mandrel 3 divided into the arbitrary plurality number. In the ring rolling method, the ring-shaped material 5 to be worked as a base material is rolled using the main roll 2 and mandrel 3 while being rotated. |
