PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a water repellent film by increasing the amount of cleaning liquid that contributes to a nozzle surface.SOLUTION: There is provided an inkjet head cleaning system which includes an inkjet head 72 including a nozzle plate having a plurality of nozzle areas 174 where a plurality of nozzles 151 ejecting ink are arranged in a matrix, and a wiping device for wiping the nozzle plate, wherein the nozzle area 174 has water repellency, and a cleaning liquid holding area 176 is provided between the nozzle areas 174 nearly in parallel with the wiping direction of the wiping device. A maintenance method of an inkjet head is also provided. |
