摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell device that improves flame carry-over performance on ignition.SOLUTION: A fuel cell device comprises: fuel cell unit cells each emitting fuel gas from an end thereof; a fuel cell unit cell assembly that is made up of the fuel cell unit cells that are juxtaposed on an approximately identical plane; a combustion region that is provided adjacent to the fuel cell unit cell assembly on a side of the fuel cell unit cells in a fuel gas emission direction, so as to burn oxidant gas and the fuel gas emitted from the fuel cell unit cells; ignition means that generates sparks so as to ignite the emitted fuel gas in the combustion region; heating means that heats the combustion region to a first predetermined temperature; and control means that controls the ignition means and the heating means. The control means performs preliminary heating in which the combustion region is heated by the heating means to the first predetermined temperature at which not-yet-ignited fuel gas readily catches fire. Then, the control means performs final heating in which the fuel gas is ignited by the ignition means so as to heat the fuel cell unit cells to a second predetermined temperature at which power can be generated.
