PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store history of abnormal heating even if a battery control system fails or does not operate, by storing the history by non-electric means when abnormal heating occurs due to overcharge or overdischarge, to confirm the history of abnormal heating at anytime thereafter, and to prevent occurrence of such a situation that the history of abnormal heating cannot be confirmed due to outside environment or secular change.SOLUTION: A secondary battery includes a battery body constituted by housing a positive electrode and a negative electrode in a battery container, and a thermal history storage sheet produced by filling a sheet-like enclosed container which is at least partially translucent with a thermosetting resin precursor material which becomes a thermosetting resin by heating and the transparency of which changes. The thermal history storage sheet is applied tightly to at least a part of the outer surface of the battery container so that the translucent part faces the outside to the battery container. |
