PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which, when acquiring location information, makes it possible to cut back power consumption and secure the accuracy of location positioning.SOLUTION: A control method of an information processing system including a client device having a plurality of sensors for acquiring location information and a server device for transmitting data to the client device is carried out in such a way that the server device refers to correspondence information on distances between the client device and data transmission locations and any of the plurality of sensors correlated to each other, and transmits to the client device information indicating a use sensor determined on the basis of the location information obtained by the client device, and that the client device receives information indicating the use sensor from the server device and selects a sensor from among the plurality of sensors from which location information is acquired on the basis of information indicating the use sensor.
