PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester core sheath conjugate fiber that is good in spinnability and processability, and specifically has excellent thermal insulation properties when made into a fabric.SOLUTION: The polyester core sheath conjugate fiber includes a polymer (A) constituting a sheath part and a polymer (B) constituting a core part in a mass ratio (A/B) of 60/40 to 20/80. The polymer (A) is a polyester-based resin and the polymer (B) is a polyester-based resin containing 1 to 20 mass% of silica which has an average secondary particle diameter of 0.05 to 3.0 μm and includes particles having a secondary particle diameter of 5 μm or more in a ratio of 10 vol.% or less. The core part satisfies a specific shape and the fineness of single fibers constituting the core sheath conjugate fiber is 1.5 dtex or less. |
