PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embedded touch screen capable of detecting coordinates with sufficient accuracy without reducing the pixel aperture ratio using a relatively simple detection circuit compared with those of conventional technology.SOLUTION: An embedded touch screen of the present invention includes: a first substrate; a second substrate having scanning signal lines extending in a first direction, video signal lines extending in a second direction, a plurality of pixels partitioned by the scanning signal lines and the video signal lines, and a pixel electrode and a common electrode, for each pixel, connected to the video signal line via a switching element which is connected to the scanning line; a liquid crystal layer; a signal feeder circuit for feeding an alternating signal to a plurality of excitation electrodes arranged in the first direction or the second direction; a detection circuit for detecting a signal induced on a plurality of detection electrodes arranged adjacent to the excitation electrodes; and a scanning circuit for scanning at least one of the plurality of excitation electrodes and the plurality of detection electrodes for the second direction at least. |
