摘要 PURPOSE: A forest fire flame spread speed predicting method is provided to quickly suppress a forest fire by using a result predicting a forest fire flame spread speed through the analysis of the heat transmission, inclination, and height of flames. CONSTITUTION: The length of flames generated during the combustion of a fuel layer formed of segments is calculated by using a heat emission rate of the layer (S403). An angle of the flames is calculated by using the length of the flames (S404). A spread speed of the flames is calculated by using the length, the angle, a result calculating heat emitted from the flames, a result calculating heat received from the segments, and a result calculating heat lost from the segments (S405).
