PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite membrane for gas separation which materializes high gas separation selectivity while having excellent gas permeability even under high pressure and under condition of containing plasticization impurities, and which achieves high membrane production suitability, and to provide a production method for the composite membrane for gas separation, a gas separation module using the composite membrane for gas separation, and a gas separation device.SOLUTION: A composite membrane for gas separation has a gas separation layer containing a cross-linked polyimide resin on a gas-permeable support layer. The cross-linked polyimide resin comprises a polyimide compound cross-linked via an ester connecting group. The polyimide compound contains a repeating unit represented by formula (1), a repeating unit represented by formula (II-a) or (II-b), and a repeating unit represented by (III-a) or (III-b), and the ratio[&kgr;] of positions for forming the cross-linking chain via the ester connecting group to imide groups (number of specific cross-linkable positions/number of imide groups) is more than 0.4 and less than 0.5.
