PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel vapor leakage detection device with improved accuracy of detecting fuel vapor leakage, and to provide a fuel vapor leakage detection method using the same.SOLUTION: A housing houses a pump 20, and has a pump passage 13, a canister passage 14, and an atmosphere passage 12. A pressure sensor 40 detects pressure in the pump passage 13. A selector valve 30 is switched between a closed state and an opened state. In the closed state, the selector valve is closed to shut off between the pump passage 13 and the canister passage 14 and to release between the atmosphere passage 12 and the canister passage 14. In the opened state, the selector valve is opened to release between the pump passage 13 and the canister passage 14 and to shut off between the atmosphere passage 12 and the canister passage 14. When a value acquired by subtracting the (n-1)th second reference pressure (n-1)Pr2 from the nth first reference pressure (n)Pr1 is a predetermined threshold value or more, an ECU 50 determines a failure of the selector valve 30. |
