PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent oppression of memory area of OLT and ONU, and increase in power consumption and lowering of processing speed incident thereto, by enhancing utilization efficiency of network coding which can be registered in a PON.SOLUTION: Data#a from a transmission source GW3-1 addressed to GW3-N is received from ONU2-1, Data#b from a transmission source GW3-N addressed to GW3-1 is received from ONU2-N, and an encoded Data#c is created by combining the Data#a and Data#b by utilizing network coding. If the Data#b is not received from the ONU2-N when a predetermined time has elapsed after receiving the Data#a from the ONU2-1, an OLT1 transmits the Data#a to the ONU2-N without creating the encoded Data#c. |
