PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet that has high transfer sensitivity in high-speed photographic printing and imparts a function for preventing abnormal transfer in photographic printing when an image is formed by a thermal transfer system.SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming method of performing thermal transfer using: a first thermal transfer sheet having a plurality of coloring layers provided in color order on a thermal transfer reception sheet; and a second thermal transfer sheet having a releasing-property imparting layer, containing at least silicone oil, and a thermal transfer-property protective layer provided. The image forming method is characterized in that the releasing-property imparting layer of the second thermal transfer sheet is laminated by thermal transfer on a surface after thermal transfer for each coloring layer of the first thermal transfer sheet, and the thermal transfer-property protective layer is laminated by thermal transfer on a surface of the releasing-property imparting layer after thermal transfer of the final coloring layer. |
