PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply an appropriate ink supply amount without performing excessive ink supply even during large-size printing in which the ink supply amount is below an ink consumption amount.SOLUTION: Based on an ink volume between a second ink detection needle 36b tip height position and a first ink detection needle 36a tip height position and a number of printing paper sheets printed by using this ink volume, an ink consumption demonstrated value per paper sheet in a printing job which is being executed is calculated. When shift to an idling mode is performed, ink supply control of an ink supply mechanism 31a is performed so as to supply an ink supply amount appropriate to the printing job which is being executed in accordance with use ink amount information obtained from a number of remaining printing paper sheets and the ink consumption demonstrated value. |
