PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device excellent in durability and contrast, and capable of down-sizing the device as a whole.SOLUTION: An optical device (13) comprises: a liquid crystal panel (133G) arranged on an optical path (L1) of light emitted from a light source device (11); and a pair of polarizers (132G, 134G) each arranged on incident side and emitting side of the light relative to the liquid crystal panel (133G). At least one of the pair of polarizers (132G, 134G) is a reflection type polarizer, and the reflection type polarizer has a curved surface part (132a, 134a) swelled toward the liquid crystal panel (133G). |
