PURPOSE: A dead battery start-up control circuit for railroad cars is provided to stably implement the emergency start-up of a railroad car and recharge a battery, thereby enabling the railroad car to be available as soon as possible. CONSTITUTION: A dead battery start-up control circuit for railroad cars includes the following components: an AC-to-DC converter (ADC) converting AC catenary power to DC operating power; a first relay (CVDR) magnetized by the current flowing in a coil prepared at the inside due to DC operating power which is supplied from the ADC; a first relay contact point (CVDRa) switched to a closed state when the first relay is magnetized; a main circuit breaker (VCB) initially started up with a low voltage supplied from a battery through the first relay contact point which is switched to a closed state; a dead battery start-up push button (DBSPB_A) to directly supply DC operating power to the main circuit breaker; a main circuit breaker initializing contact point (D4) initializing the main circuit breaker by cutting off the low voltage supplied from the battery; and a contact point (D3) to control the operation of an auxiliary power supply.
