PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably adjust the RXDTV of an optical receiving unit receiving each optical signal, in an optical receiver receiving a wavelength multiplex optical signal.SOLUTION: An optical receiver 11 includes an optical amplifier 16 for amplifying a wavelength multiplex optical signal, a demultiplexer 17 for demultiplexing an amplified wavelength multiplex optical signal into optical signals of a plurality of wavelengths, an optical receiving unit 18 for identifying and reproducing each demultiplexed optical signal, an error correction unit 20 for performing code error correction of each optical signal subjected to identification and reproduction, and a main control unit 22. When adjusting the RXDTV of an optical receiving unit receiving an optical signal of a certain wavelength, the main control unit 22 lowers the gain of the optical amplifier 16 when compared with that during normal operation, within such a range that the code error generation state of an optical signal having another wavelength does not exceed the correction capability of the error correction unit 20, and adjusts the RXDTV to an optimum value under that state. |
