The backlight driving circuit 118 synchronizes each of the backlight light sources 202 corresponding to a scan lighting region of the display panel 102 with a period in which a pixel row corresponding to the backlight light sources 202 in the display panel 102 is scanned, and includes a light emission control unit 119 for sequentially emitting light.
