PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device with a high response speed.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device 1 includes plural liquid crystal elements 11 and 12. The liquid crystal elements 11 and 12 include a liquid crystal layer 21, and first and second electrodes 31 and 32. The first electrode 31 includes a first electrode part 31a, and a second electrode part 31b. The first electrode part 31a has an opening. The second electrode part 31b is disposed in the opening. The second electrode 32 faces the first electrode 31 through the liquid crystal layer 21. The plural liquid crystal elements 11 and 12 are disposed in a thickness direction z of the liquid crystal layer 21. The plural liquid crystal elements 11 and 12 include the plural liquid crystal elements 11 and 12 being identical in the arrangement direction of the first electrode 31 with respect to the second electrode 32. |
