PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter enabling various types of interchangeable lenses to function, in a camera system of a lens interchangeable system.SOLUTION: The adapter comprises: first and second terminals connected to corresponding terminals set to reference potential in a camera body attached to a first mounting portion; a switching section configured to switch a connection state to a conduction state or a cut-out state; a third terminal connected to the first terminal via the switching section and also connected to a terminal set to reference potential in an interchangeable lens attached to a second mounting portion; a fourth terminal connected to the second terminal and also connected to a terminal set to a reference potential in the interchangeable lens attached to the second mounting portion; an attached state detection terminal configured to provide the camera body with a detection level indicating whether the interchangeable lens is attached or not, in accordance with the potential of the third terminal; and a control section configured to exert control such that when detecting that the interchangeable lens is not attached to the second mount, the switching section is cut out.. |
