PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical cleaning method of a main steam pipe or reheat steam pipe, capable of sufficiently cleaning the topmost part of the main steam pipe or reheat steam pipe even with a small hole of the main steam pipe or reheat steam pipe, and further preventing a cleaning solution from flowing into a superheater pipe side or reheater pipe side.SOLUTION: A chemical cleaning method cleans the inside of a main steam pipe 6 or reheat steam pipe in communication with a superheater pipe or reheater pipe using a chemical cleaning solution, wherein the main steam pipe 6 or reheating steam pipe has at the topmost part thereof a first horizontal part 6a, a sloped part 6b and a second horizontal part 6c in the order from a pipe header of the superheater or a pipe header of the reheater. A seat for cleaning is formed at a lower part of the sloped part 6b or at the second horizontal part 6c. The chemical cleaning solution is supplied from the seat for cleaning into the main steam pipe or reheating steam pipe so that the level of the cleaning solution in the main steam pipe or reheating steam pipe is located at the sloped part 6b. |
