PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a touch panel to reduce its outer shape without impairing detection accuracy of a touch input area, and to detect each voltage value by interchanging voltage polarities at a pair of electrodes for application.SOLUTION: A touch panel detects a touch position using the theorem of Apollonius' circle. The touch panel is arranged so that respective conductive films of two substrates each having a transparent conductive film are opposite to each other. In the touch panel, one electrode is present in a first substrate, two pairs of point electrodes are present in a second substrate, the electrodes of the second substrate are disposed on the outer peripheral part of the substrate, an insulating layer is formed on the outer peripheral part excluding the electrodes, and wiring for extracting the electrodes to the outside is formed on the insulating layer inside the point electrodes. |
