PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem of a conventional serial communication apparatus that it is difficult to give a notification of a communication start timing without increasing the number of signal lines and it is impossible to recover from an error quickly.SOLUTION: A serial communication apparatus according to the present invention transmits serial data between a master control part and a slave control part, which are each composed of a CPU, a serial communication part, and a DMA part, and have a CPU communication mode, in which the CPU initiatively performs the data transmission through the serial communication part, and a DMA communication mode, in which the DMA part initiatively performs the data transmission through the serial communication part, wherein the data exchanged between the master control part and the slave control part is divided into first data and second data and after the first data is exchanged in the CPU communication mode, the second data is exchanged in the DMA communication mode. |
