PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely adjust an EGR flow rate of a small flow rate region, by using a first EGR valve and a second EGR valve disposed in series in an EGR passage.SOLUTION: An EGR device includes: an EGR passage 17; and a first EGR valve 18 and a second EGR valve 19 disposed in series in the EGR passage 17 to control an EGR flow rate in the EGR passage 17. The first EGR valve 18 is formed of a poppet valve, and is variable in opening degree from a fully opened state to a fully closed state. The second EGR valve 19 is formed of a butterfly valve, and is variable in opening degree from a predetermined maximum opening state to a fully closed state. An electronic control unit (ECU) 61 fixes the second EGR valve 19 to a predetermined target throttle opening degree according to a request flow rate of EGR, and controls the first EGR valve 18 to an opening degree according to the request flow rate. |
