PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel control device and a car navigation apparatus capable of reducing noise to a radio receiver, such as an AM radio receiver, on a vehicle and the like.SOLUTION: A touch panel control device 1 controls a sampling frequency of a touch panel 5 for detecting a contact position of an operation body at a set sampling frequency. The touch panel control device 1 comprises: a reception frequency information acquisition unit 4 which acquires reception frequency information indicating a frequency received by a radio receiver 6; and a sampling frequency control unit 3 which sets a frequency that does not interfere with the frequency indicated by the reception frequency information as the sampling frequency of the touch panel 5, in accordance with the reception frequency information acquired by the reception frequency information acquisition unit 4. |
