PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibration element and a piezoelectric device in which a frequency change due to an impact such as a drop and a temperature change hardly occurs and vibration characteristics are improved.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric vibration element (130) comprises a piezoelectric piece (134) which is formed in a rectangular shape including long sides and short sides, has a first main surface and a second main surface on the back side of it, and has a mesa part (133) which is thicker than the periphery at least on the first main surface. In addition, a pair of excitation electrodes (131) is formed on the first main surface and second main surface, and a pair of extraction electrodes (132) is drawn out from the pair of excitation electrodes to one of the short sides. The excitation electrode is larger than the area of the mesa part, and is formed to cover the mesa part on the main surface where the mesa part is formed. Moreover, the center (CR) of the excitation electrode is displaced from the center (CA) of the piezoelectric piece by a first distance (DR) toward the other of the short sides, the center (CM) of the mesa part is displaced from the center of the piezoelectric piece by a second distance (DM) toward the other short side, and the second distance is different from the first distance. |
