PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device that employs an improved removal capacity of an unwanted substance to a newly replaced photoreceptor.SOLUTION: An image formation device 1 comprises a device body 1H, a photoreceptor drum 11, a charging device 12, an exposure device 13, a developing device 14, and a controller 1A. The developing device includes: a housing part 141 that houses toner and developer containing an external additive charged to a polarity reverse to that of the toner; and a conveyance body 142 that conveys to a peripheral surface of the photoreceptor drum 11 the developer to which developing potential Vdev equivalent to potential between potential HV of an exposed area out of the peripheral surface of the photoreceptor drum 11 and potential VH of a non-exposed area thereout is applied. When the photoreceptor drum 11 is replaced with respect to the device body, the controller 1A prohibits an exposure by the exposure device before the developing device 14 is caused to implement development to a post-replaced photoreceptor drum 11, and controls potential Vcf between the conveyance body 142 and the photoreceptor drum 11 so as to be larger than when a static latent image is developed. |
