PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving multimedia data by using NFC.SOLUTION: A transmission apparatus and a reception apparatus interchange connection information required for a short-range communication connection in order to transmit multimedia data through an NFC communication setup, to perform a short-range communication connection between the apparatuses by using the interchanged connection information, and to transmit and receive multimedia data, so that users can share multimedia data with one touch for an NFC communication setup.
