PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader which can read a document while avoiding dirt when the dirt adheres to a reading glass corresponding to the back side of the document.SOLUTION: An image reader 200 includes a reading glass 210, a document reading section 220, a rotary supporting section 230, a cam 240, and a CPU 250. The reading glass 210 is placed at a part of the conveyance path in the image reader 200. The document reading section 220 cannot move in a direction parallel with the conveyance direction of a document, and reads a document conveyed through the reading glass 210. The rotary supporting section 230 rotatably supports the document reading section 220. The cam 240 rotates the document reading section 220 about the rotary supporting section 230. The CPU 250 controls the drive amount of the cam 240. |
