PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character reading device for quickly and highly accurately performing the correction processing of a recognition result.SOLUTION: A character recognition device for recognizing handwritten characters from the image data of handwritten characters includes: a dictionary unit having a character recognition dictionary to be used for the character recognition of handwritten characters and a customer dictionary for storing information relating to a customer who has entered the handwritten characters; and a recognition unit for performing the character recognition of the image data by using the character recognition dictionary, for searching the customer dictionary by using the information of a recognition character included in the image data whose character recognition has been performed, and for correcting the recognition character on the basis of the searched customer information. |
