PURPOSE: A device for preventing wax generation and a method for preventing wax generation using the same are provided to reduce the consumption of energy required for heating liquid hydrocarbon using a hydrocarbon circulation unit. CONSTITUTION: A device (100) for preventing wax generation comprises a storage tank (200) and a hydrocarbon circulation unit (300). The storage tank stores hydrocarbon therein. The hydrocarbon circulation unit circulates the hydrocarbon stored in the storage tank by compressing the gaseous hydrocarbon stored in the storage tank and supplying the compressed hydrocarbon to the inner bottom of the storage tank and prevents wax from being generated in the storage tank.
