Invention herewith described refers to the procedure for treatment atherosclerosis, dyslipidemia and related conditions and pharmaceutical composition. The procedure for the treatment of atherosclerosis involves applying of nicotinic acid or some other agonist of the nicotinic acid receptor in combination with a DP receptor antagonist on the patient. DP receptor antagonist is applied to reduce, prevent or eliminate appearance of redness that would otherwise occur.
