<p>The invention relates to a binder based on sodium silicate additivated with an organic substance, intended to be employed for preparing moulding sands and core sands to be used in metal parts casting foundry, with a view to increasing the shaking out degree in casting moulds after casting the pieces and cooling them within the moulds, an ultimate tensile strength of 0.2...0.4 kgf/cmbeing obtained thereby.
