PURPOSE: A pouch type secondary battery is provided to block overcurrent to be independent of a protection circuit, by including a fuse in an electrode lead of the secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: A pouch type secondary battery comprises an electrode lead which includes two or more lead pieces aligned in one direction, and a fuse-connection part (32) which is continuously connected to the end of a neighboring lead piece, without steps; a cell assembly electrically connected to the electrode lead; and a pouch case sealing the cell assembly to expose the whole of the fuse connection part. The fuse-connecting part is bent. The fuse-connecting part is coupled to the end of the lead piece by welding. |
