The invention relates to a hydrothermal process for the synthesis of nanostructured cobalt-doped titanium dioxide powders, the diluted semiconductor oxides being meant to be used in spinotronics due to their ferromagnetic properties. According to the invention, the process consists in the synthesis of nanocrystalline powders based on titanium dioxide doped with 0.5...10% by weight cobalt with a constant 100% anatase structure and homogeneous dopant distribution in the crystalline lattice and nanobar morphology which is controlled by the pH control within the range of 9...10, obtained by potassium hydroxide admixture, the nanobar growth time control within the range of 15...120 min and the pressure control within the range of 75...150 at, obtained by the supply of pressurized argon into the autoclave vessel, the controlled-morphology powders being achieved by the initial forming of potassium and titanium hydrated oxide phase, according to the formula KHTiO(HO), which represents the growth matrix of the doped anatase titanium dioxide.
|
