The nozzle assembly has an end cap (40) and a nozzle (30) and a shield (21) is attachable to the nozzle assembly so the nozzle (30) is protected from damage. The shield is larger at a first end closer to the lance (50) than at the opposing end. The arrangement is such that air can flow into the space (23) between the shield (21) and lance (50) and be accelerated due to venturi effect from air exiting the nozzle (30).
